A coordinated inspection of the rig’s major equipment and systems, tailored to its configuration and your requirements.
Our scope includes:
- Mast, Derrick & Substructure: Structural members, connections, rig floor, crown support, and monkey board.
- Drilling & Hoisting Equipment: Drawworks, brakes, crown and traveling blocks, hooks, drilling line, top drive, and rotary equipment.
- Well Control Equipment: BOP stack, accumulator unit, control systems, choke and kill manifolds, and associated lines.
- Mud & Circulation Systems: Mud pumps, tanks, shale shakers, mud gas separator, piping, and valves.
- Rig Floor & Handling Equipment: Tongs, elevators, links, slips, winches, and tubular handling equipment.
- Power, Electrical & Control Systems: Generators, SCR/VFD systems, panels, cables, earthing, instrumentation, and safety interlocks.
- Safety & Emergency Systems: Fire and gas detection, firefighting equipment, emergency shutdowns, alarms, and escape routes.
Document review, functional checks, and testing are included according to the agreed inspection scope.
API RP 4G Category III Inspection
Detailed inspection of masts, derricks, substructures, and associated structural components to assess their condition and identify deterioration or damage.
The scope includes visual examination of accessible structural members and connections, review of inspection and repair records, and further examination where required by the applicable inspection program.
API RP 4G Category IV Inspection
A more extensive structural inspection involving the preparation, access, and disassembly needed to examine designated critical areas.
The scope includes detailed structural examination and non-destructive testing of applicable components and connections, with the engineering and technical supervision required by the inspection program.
Category III and Category IV scopes are established against applicable API RP 4G requirements, OEM recommendations, and client specifications.
